V-Beam and VariLite Lasers

Another cosmetic/medical function of laser light is the treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions and veins.  Between our V-Beam and VariLite laser systems (the systems differ but have crossover capabilities) we can easily and safely treat a multitude of vascular or pigment conditions in a gentle and efficient manner.  These advanced laser systems selectively target facial veins, leg veins and photodamage without affecting the surrounding skin and tissue. The V-Beam and VariLite are also wonderful tools for treatment of:

• Red birthmarks (hemangiomas and port wine stains)

The operating principle with these lasers is Versatility.  The V-Beam, which is a pulsed dye laser, and VariLite, a dual wavelength, can be adapted to the highly specific needs of individual patients with consistently satisfying results.

The V-Beam or VariLite Lasers are designed for patients who are bothered by vascular lesions anywhere on the body.  Depending on the condition, more than one treatment session with the laser may be necessary. As a result of a course of treatment, lesions or veins become much less noticeable, and in many cases, resolve completely. Prior to treatment, the doctor will examine the condition and determine the efficacy of laser treatment and the number of sessions required.
